The Faculty of Agricultural Sciences at AarhusUniversity (AU) comprises seven research departments of which Department of Agroecology and Environment focuses on a mix of fundamental and applied agro-environmental research activities. Emphasis is placed on the ability to generalise the validity of results from experimental research via dynamic simulation models. These are developed as tools for decision support systems. The role of AarhusUniversity in Legume Futures includes the provision of site data and a case study in Work Package 1. There are also contributions to other WPs, especially to WP3 (Environmental assessments) and WP6 (Biophysical modelling).
The work is led by Professor Olesen who has extensive experience of involvement in European projects at a senior level.
The research in Legumes Futures is supported by Kirsten Schelde who researches greenhouse gas emissions from agriculture.
