The Agricultural University of Athens (AUA) is the oldest and best known provider of University level education in the agricultural and related sciences in Greece. It has a wide EU research portfolio. The Legume Futures work is based in the Laboratory of Vegetable Production in collaboration with the Laboratory of Field Crops (both are sub-units of the Department of Crop Science).
The work in Legume Futures is led by Dr Dimitrios Savvas. This involves the provision of site data and a case study in Work Package 1 and contributions to WP2,3,4,5,6

Agronomist. Specialised in greenhouse crops with emphasis on plant nutrition, water management, and soil-less culture.

Plant physiologist, quality and post-harvest physiology of vegetables.
Dimitrios Bilalis
Agronomist, specialist in organic agriculture and a Charter Member of ISOFAR (International Society of Organic Agriculture Research) and national delegate in IFOAM -EU part.

Agronomist. potato propagation and crop physiology.

Agronomist, pollen physiology in fruit vegetables and post-harvest quality of vegetable products.
